Sutra in English : Sagunopaasana = Worship through Attributes
Swami Dayanand Saraswati Commentary : Worshipping the Supreme Lord, by knowing that HE is omniscient, omnipotent, pure, everlasting, blissful, omnipresent, one, eternal, creator of all, a supporter of all, lord of all, controller of all, internal controller of all, benevolent, giver of all bliss, father of all, creator of the whole universe, just, compassionate, and possesses other truthful qualities, is called ‘Sagunopaasana’.
Comment in English : (Commentary-In the seventh chapter of Satyarth Prakash, Maharshi Dayanand describes the benefits of Upaasanaa (उपासना का फल). He writes "As fire brings ( warmth to a person who feels cold, likewise, in the company of Ishwar, the devotee remains free from deficiencies and pain. Moreover, the devotee becomes purified with the qualities of Ishwar and maintains a calm demeanor when faced with extreme suffering”).

महर्षि दयानन्द व्याख्या : जिसको सर्वज्ञ, सर्वशक्तिमान, शुद्ध, नित्य, आनन्द, सर्वव्यापक, एक, सनातन, सर्वकर्ता, सर्वाधार, सर्वस्वामी, सर्वनियन्ता, सर्वान्तर्यामी, मंगलमय, सर्वानन्दप्रद, सर्वपिता, सब जगत का रचनेवाला, न्यायकारी, दयालु आदि सत्य गुणों से युक्त जानके जो ईश्वर की उपासना करनी है, सो 'सगुणोपासना' कहाती है।
