Swami Dayanand Saraswati Commentary : That is, the effort that has to be made with body, mind, and wealth for the happiness of other beings with one's full capacity, is called ‘philanthropy’.
In Hindi:
महर्षि दयानन्द व्याख्या : अर्थात् अपने सब सामर्थ्य से दूसरे प्राणियों के सुख होने के लिये जो तन, मन, धन से प्रयत्न करना है, वह 'परोपकार' कहलाता है।
