Swami Dayanand Saraswati Commentary : That is, leaving laziness in all respect, and putting utmost effort for the achievement of the best conduct, with mind, body, speech, and wealth is called ‘Effortfulness’.
In Hindi:
महर्षि दयानन्द व्याख्या : अर्थात् सर्वथा आलस्य छोड़ के उत्तम व्यवहारों की सिद्धि के लिये मन, शरीर, वाणी और धन से जो अत्यन्त उद्योग करना है, उसको 'पुरुषार्थ' कहते हैं ।
